Big Day

Every one is there except me… More than 40 relative gathered there and most of them are there for quite some time. All of them with whom I always want to meet at one place. This is not only a marriage, but a very big gathering of distant and rarely met relatives.

Called several times to get updates on things going on there. Despite my non-social nature, this was the event where I always wanted to be.

No excuses for my absence, forgiveness are needed…

I was 11:30 PM, when I found my self sleepless on bed, what’s wrong? Why I am not feeling sleepy? No clues…

Anyways I decided to take a walk and put my Khaki, ear phone on and walked out from home…

Saw few people on ground level playing guitar and enjoying their weekend, “that’s good, have a nice time”, smiled and moved ahead…

Got company of a leady with 2 kids, one on her arms and another one walking with her having books in her hand, don’t know where they were heading, but definitely not for walk, neither returning back to home as their direction was towards Ring road. “It’s more than 11:30 and they are going towards road. Is every thing alright?” - thought in my mind.

Noticed that all most all parking lots were full and rest are going to fill soon, as more and more cars are coming back, mostly families who went out for weekend outing or meet relatives or friends. “Yah, I was always enjoyed this kind of weekend outings, when I was in Delhi”, missing that part.

I was heading towards Khatib central market, found a shop still open, and decided to have an ice cream, chocolate flavored one. :D, MNC’s making life very easier for a common man like me by providing same thing around the world… Yes!!! Same brand of ice cream is available here also with same flavor…

I recalled that night of Delhi, when I lost a bet with Gudiya. The bet was to finish a large size cone of ice cream within 100 meters of walk. She likes ice cream a lot.

All most all chairs were empty in front of the shop, which normally use to remain full with people in evening, only few people were wondering here and there. I decided to finish my ice cream peacefully and then think of any thing else…

It’s Saturday and midnight, but still people returning back from work. “Not every one has a luxury of Saturday off”, I thought while finishing ice cream. I remembered beginning of my career, when I use to sleep 3 nights of 6 working days in office and I use to work as late as 4 AM.

Chosen ring road to return back, just to get a glimpse of buses and to know how many more people still traveling. Saw my “lucky charm” Bus #854 on the first turn it self, it was half empty, I wish they were not going to work or Bedok, “its far away man, it will be more than 1 when you will reach there”. Buses coming from opposite side of road were still full and people are traveling by standing also.

I reached back under my block again… saw same group enjoying beer and music… “At least there are few who can still cherish and don’t need to bother about global credit crunch”…

It’s around 1 and those traveling in bus #854 will be reaching to Bedok now… I have to go to bed … I have to wake up early, have to go to Kush… will update you on this tomorrow

Taking shape

Web site slowly started taking shape, I noticed that there is some glitch in RSS feed, so taken out, will correct and add a link at home page… I want more people to visit my site rather than reading on other sites or through feed… Contacted my old pal Jagpreet back in India, who is an excellent graphic designer to suggest or do some thing for my site… I tried to modify the default template provided the open-source, but it is not looking satisfactory at all. May be he can suggest or design some thing better…

Started process for applying for PR, went to my CSS today to collect photocopies of few old documents. Suresh was always very kind and supportive towards me even after my walkout from the company. Thankfully he and his staff supported me again for the documents… still waiting for few more from home… this process requires a lot of documentation formalities, unfortunately all of my documents are scattered at various places, I am having tough time convincing every one to help me out …

A busy Sunday

Was focusing on a lot of things, other than usual work, as many things planned for today.

I have to carefully select and install blog software on my web site. Manage to get one, but there were few part related with the software, which was hardcoded and can not be removed and very fewer GUI options. Though I can alter code to remove unnecessary thing, but I have scrape that due to GUI and extra effort required. Unfortunately this took a lot of my day time day.

‘Quantum of Solace’, yes this was another thing planned for today... I’m a big fan of Bond movies and I religiously use to watch them without fail, I don’t care whether they will be a hit or flop, or who is playing Bond, I feel that it’s my duty to watch them... I rushed to cinema for 5:35 PM show and the movie was about to start when I entered into the hall. Last two releases of Bond movies fell shorter than my exceptions, lesser in terms of action and thrill OK? (Please don’t take me wrong).

I already invited Rishi and Rashmi on dinner tonight. Unfortunately when I returned it was 8 already... so we immediately started cooking with out any further delay and we manage to finish our dinner by 10.

I think i have change my way how i approach things, whether its personal or professional front ... i am a looser every where ... some times i want to blame my parents for my over all personality ... but this will be absolutely wrong, as i am the most successful in all of my relatives ...

then why i think i am a failure ... may be I am comparing my self with other successful friends, its not fare.. i should not do this...

Yes there are few basic problems with my approach, i am learning and changing my self, doing hard work also I know i will get success...

SUCCESS ... what is my definition of success ... what is the definition of success for a billionaire or a very popular public figure.. I think its depends, for me its getting more, more in terms of popularity and of course money so that i can secure future of my dependents and give them what ever they ever think of ...

I will keep on doing same hard work, will keep my eyes open... i am quite sure i will get what i wish...

just a final note before i sign-off ... got a invitation to play Volleyball at Silosa beach Sentosa Island... will have to be there at 7 AM in the morning ... lets see how it goes ... going to enter the court after 8 years

don't know what to do ... going to be a 2 days off... have to go to Serangoon to collect tickets, as planning to visit India in July... being bit lazy I prefer to stay at home...

Still not planned what i will be doing these 2 days... weekends are quite boring, some times I use to think to go to office, but there also there is not much of work ... i am already a long way ahead from my schedule... Yes just got an idea to go to Movie.... 4:15 or 5 PM show of Indiana Jones... YES ... at least i can spend some time with out getting bored ...

Mahesh tried to reach me yesterday, may be for Volleyball , unfortunately i was unable to attend that call... and now he is not picking up my phone... other wise it will be a good time pass... Last week I planned every thing to be there at Santosa but in the morning i have got severe pain in stomach.

My problem is that I can not sit idle... and that is why i am much ahead of my schedule in work ... the project allocated to me was finished in 3 months that was actually planned for a year... I don't know its good or bad professionally, but i use to do my work with my natural speed ...

Feeling bit worried about Aashi as last experience to India was not good with her... and this time it will be humid and hot month of July ...

May God Save Her

So finally here is the plan for tomorrow ... will wake up late and in evening will go to movie and then Serangoon to collect my tickets...

What about Sunday .... ohhhhh another big day... ... will update you if i can plan any thing...

Don't think that i can dare to take Anshu and Aashi out for some beach or park .... Anshu specially don't have stamina to walk much... I will prepare her for touring and travailing when she will return from India.

Things getting tougher in job... and complecated...

Called Sunil to sync timing and place to do our weekly shopping...

shopping ???? lol this will be nothing more than vegetables and rice lor... bought a bag also .... first one was tangled and it becomes too common these days... it frustates me when i use to see that bag in every one hand in bus .... hehe...

we had our dinner at sager ratna and took a bus to return .... it seems 857 changes its route...

I have to take pics again at yishun jetty lets see how it goes.... its raining every morning these day... will be there on time before sunrise...

hoping there will not be any rain...

Was so excited for this morning ... wake up at 5:30 and after finishing routine work I came out ... saw clouds ... damm... and drizzling started at bus stop is self ... but have to go ... took a bus ... i noticed, bus shows 'new entry' while exiting from front door .... I think I tapped card twice between 2 stops...God knows what is going to happen in my next trip hehe...

As soon as I reach jetty here started heavy shower ... daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam... got a place to save myself ... as I didn't bring umbrella so can not do any thing and just have to wait till rain stop... was also not having my headphone so that I can listen music also... so just have to fool around ...lol

Saw few ppl mainly for fishing but in this rain they can not do any thing...

Wish tomorrow will not be same will see weather report before I leave this time...

After a very bad start in the morning ... my day passes quite boring... put all of shirt in washing machine and took my breakfast .... and just after my breakfast I went to bed... its hard to believe but true, its because i took only 3 hrs of sleep last night ...

I wake up at the 5 PM and found Sunil is still playing the same game, which he started early this morning ... he is badly bugged up by the game, i am feeling gulty now as I was the person who told him about this game...

finally put all of my shirts to dry ... and placed all of my pants in washing machine for next round...

I was hungry so decided to go eat some thing was planning for pizza or burger finally had burger at McD... Khatib Central is a good place... i can get most of thing here and fill my tummy whenever i want... though I don't like eating much of outside food but at this time it was need of time...

bought few more things of daily usage... as for most of working days of week i will not be able to spare my time to do shopping ...

My dear friend and flat partner Sunil already started cooking for dinner, so i have to go now to help him...

Struggling with feed burner

First of all I was unable to wake up early this morning due to glitch in my cell phone . Even though I set alarm and charged it, but some how it gets switched off in night. I noticed that some times when I slide open my cell, it gets switch off, dunno whatâ€™s the problem. I think its time to change my handset which is a year old alreadddy.

So I wake up at 8, saw that there is no rain, but again no sunshine also due to clouds, it would have been worthless to go there even if I wake up early morning ...

Decided to finish some important things like cleaning house, breakfast and logged in to facebook and orkut to check their feed burner is working ... WOW it works... facebook is listing headings while orkut is show all content including images... thatâ€™s great... posted one more item and this time facebook is showing that item only, even better... but no luck with Drupal, I tried a lot of modules and all are worthless... what I was trying to achieve is complete listing of my blog on Drupal home page so that I donâ€™t need to post any thing over there ... at one instance I realized that I did a mistake by choosing Drupal 6.x version, various modules are still under development and most others are in Beta, only few are released as full version ... though I can code my own feed burner, but I donâ€™t want to do that. May be I have to wait until they release what I am expecting ...

I have to find other personalized web pages to add my feed over there...

Have planned to visit some where here and there in evening, may be I will be going to AMK hub to watch movie...

Meanwhile got a mail from Sunil with an attachment of my pic, which he took without my notice while I was blogging last night ... posting here... thanks Sunil

Will be posting more things in evening if I will get some time out but not sure ... haaan??

Evening outing

Just few quick lines as I have to go to bed now ...
Went to AMK hub this evening, but rather than watching movie we decided to explore it... I have to change glasses of my specs, which is a frameless one but power is not correct... it cost me around S$100 including every thing when i ordered it first time, but I have paid 120 just for glass (COL = crying out loudly)... then did some unplanned purchase of 2 jeans and a t-shirt ... this t-shirt is first of this kind in terms of color... its maroon and of full sleeves ... jeans are straight fit ... I donâ€™t know what will I do other jeans which are either loose fit or slight bellbottom shape...

While returning back we had sandwiches, as we will not be having much time to cook ...

Collect letters which are bills and cc statements only... tomorrow is going to be â€˜The Bill Payment Dayâ€™ (house rent + PUB + Broadband + CC)... I need few days to over come this shock...

Will try to catch up blog within week days...
